At Sea on the Tasman Sea

This is how our ship looked in port yesterday in Hobart!

Today we are cruising the Tasman Sea and the water is rough and rolling.

There are little bags strategically placed around the ship in case people get sick from the movement of the sea. I guess this area is normally rough and we are both thankful that so far we have not been bothered. As we sat in the Dining Room this morning we could feel the movement and see the great up and down motion when we looked out the windows.

We have discovered why our TV has crazy colors. Everything has been pink and green and nothing we did would correct it. Last evening we learned that the distorted colors are occurring because we are navigating close to the equator and the TV's are getting magnetized in this area and that results in the change of TV colors. Now I think that is strange.

The time went forward an hour last night. I think we will do that again tonight as we get ready to be on land in New Zealand. Today the New Zealand Customs officials were on board to do a face-to-face passport thing. Took a long time to do that.

Heading to a wine and food pairing and then Trivia.
Wonderful lazy sea day!

The ship looks wonderful! we are glad you aren't feeling sick from the seas. Funny about those TVs - I wouldn't have thought of that.
Mommy wants to know if you saw any Tasmanian devils.

Just checking your site after a week or so of being away from it. Jade is home, bored-but-recovering. Have a glass of wine for him as he can't have any for about 6 weeks. Loved the photo of Jim with the scarf! Is that going to be a new trend when he gets back to the states? Hugs and keep on havin' fun - Sue
