Watching Sunday Super Bowl on Monday Morning

Modern communication with iChat, instant communication, Facebook and so forth just took a big leap for us. Bill and Katherine have their TV in Cornelius connected to a Sling Box which enables any computer online to have access to their TV IF the person knows the correct passwords. So Jim,  who thought he'd not be able to see the Super Bowl, is watching the game. The kick-off was at 10:30 AM on Monday morning. Amazing!

Katherine in the kitchen
The children are off to school, Bill is off to work, and Katherine was busy in the kitchen as this Monday unfolded. The kitchen is large with 23 drawers in the kitchen and many cabinets. Lots of storage for food, pots, pans and dishes.

Today the sky is gray, but rain is not expected.

Living Room
The Living Room is comfortable with a large sectional sofa. Yesterday afternoon it finally rained. There were almost horizontal sheets of rain which we viewed from the porch off the living room. The two courtyards in the back of the house didn't get wet at all. The temperature dropped so dramatically- a feat for which we were all grateful. We sat on the porch and enjoyed watching the storm and feeing the mist and rain.
Doors into the Living Room

The doors from the Entrance Hall into the Living Room have lovely stained glass panels with an art-deco like image. The floors in that part of the house are knotty pine. The big doors to the porch are sliding doors that completely open so the view is unobstructed. Great for entertaining and enjoying the view!

The laundry process is long.  Normal washing time is about 2 hours and the dryer takes even longer for a load. Clothes must be sorted because even with cold watch dark things tend to color other things in the wash.Much like the washer they dealt with in London the clothes tend to really take a beating in this system. Five people can generate a great deal of laundry- especially when the boys wear uniforms to school but change to play clothes when they come home. Not sure how you ever catch-up!

Well off to watch the game AND the commercials!
